AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00)
from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for the purchase and demolition of certain real
property in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, known and numbered as 3036 Semple
Avenue and 3027 Arlington Avenue for flood mitigation purposes; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to purchase said real property.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for the purchase and
demolition of certain real property in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, known and
numbered as 3036 Semple Avenue and 3027 Arlington Avenue for flood mitigation
purposes.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to purchase and
demolish certain real property in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, known and numbered
as 3036 Semple Avenue and 3027 Arlington Avenue for flood mitigation purposes, for
the total purchase price not to exceed Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00).
Section Three. Upon the execution and delivery to the District of a
General Warranty Deed in proper form conveying title to the above-described real
property to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized to pay to the respective grantors a total
sum not to exceed Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000.00) for said real property.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 11, 2000 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, J.W. Siscel, M.C.
Williams.
Nays – None.
