O R D I N A N C E NO. 10801
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Seventy-five
Thousand Dollars ($775,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Mattese Creek Sanitary
Relief Phase III (90024C), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. for the
construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is
Seven Hundred Sixteen Thousand One Hundred Forty-three Dollars
($716,143.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Fifty-eight
Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-seven Dollars ($58,857.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Seventy-five Thousand
Dollars ($775,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund
to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Mattese
Creek Sanitary Relief Phase III (90024C), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for
the construction of sanitary sewers in Mattese Creek Sanitary Relief Phase III
(90024C), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 5th day of June, 2000.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 20, 2000 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, P.P. Finn, C.D. Seward, J.W. Siscel, M.G. Reichert, and M.C.
Williams.
Nays – None.
