HomeMy Public PortalAbout10822 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10822 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Five Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($1,525,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-10 Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Relief Phase I (89129), in the City of Chesterfield and St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million Three Hundred Ninety-six Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-nine Dollars ($1,396,379.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Twenty-eight Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-one Dollars ($128,621.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Five Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($1,525,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-10 Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Relief Phase I (89129), in the City of Chesterfield and St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-10 Creve Coeur Creek Sanitary Relief Phase I (89129), in the City of Chesterfield and St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 17th day of August, 2000. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 12, 2000 by the following vote – Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, C.D. Seward, and J.W. Siscel. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
