HomeMy Public PortalAbout10825 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10825 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rebuilding and/or replacing inlets, manholes and inlet manholes, and construction of new inlets, inlet manholes and manholes, and piping in Harlem- Baden (Ashland-Abner) Inlet Replacement (99144A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. for the aforesaid project. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid project is Three Hundred Seventeen Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-seven Dollars ($317,667.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Thirty-two Thousand Three Hundred Thirty-three Dollars ($32,333.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rebuilding and/or replacing inlets, manholes and inlet manholes, and construction of new inlets, inlet manholes and manholes, and piping in Harlem -Baden (Ashland-Abner) Inlet Replacement (99144A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the rebuilding and/or replacing inlets, manholes and inlet manholes, and construction of new inlets, inlet manholes and manholes, and piping in Harlem- Baden (Ashland-Abner) Inlet Replacement (99144A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 30th day of August, 2000. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 12, 2000 by the following vote – Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, C.D. Seward, and J.W. Siscel. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
