O R D I N A N C E NO. 10826
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million One Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($1,150,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Carolynne
Sanitary Relief Phase II (98040), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing
the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for
the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One
Million Twenty-nine Thousand Eighty Hundred Sixty and 30/100 Dollars
($1,029,860.30), and the allowance for construction change orders is One
Hundred Twenty Thousand One Hundred Thirty-nine and 70/100 Dollars
($120,139.70), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million One Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($1,150,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Carolynne Sanitary Relief Phase II (98040), in St. Louis County,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of sanitary sewers in Carolynne Sanitary Relief Phase II
(98040), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 13th day of September, 2000.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 12, 2000 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, C.D. Seward, and J.W. Siscel.
Nays – None.
