AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($450,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement
Fund of Watkins Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of a
reinforced concrete retaining wall and storm sewers in Runningbrook Drive Storm
Channel (97032), in the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri; and authorizing
the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Mulligan Construction, Inc. for
the construction of the aforesaid project.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said reinforced concrete
retaining wall and storm sewers is Four Hundred Five Thousand Three Hundred
Thirty-Two Dollars ($405,332.00), and the allowance for construction change
orders is Forty-Four Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars ($44,668.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($450,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Watkins Creek to be used for project costs for
the construction of a reinforced concrete retaining wall and storm sewers in
Runningbrook Drive Storm Channel (97032), in the City of Bellefontaine
Neighbors, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Mulligan Construction, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of a reinforced concrete retaining wall and storm sewers in
Runningbrook Drive Storm Channel (97032), in the City of Bellefontaine
Neighbors, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of
October 2000.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 9, 2000 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W.Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, and
J.W. Siscel.
