AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00)
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Maline
Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in
Hallwood-Pershall Channel Improvement (MCBJ-200) (99111), in St. Louis
County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Seals Enterprises for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Fifty-
four Thousand Four Hundred Ninety-eight and 53/100 ($54,498.53), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Five Thousand Five Hundred One and
47/100 Dollars ($5,501.47), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Maline Creek to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Hallwood-Pershall Channel Improvement (MCBJ-
200) (99111), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Seals Enterprises as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of storm sewers in Hallwood-Pershall Channel Improvement (MCBJ-
200) (99111), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened
on the 20th day of October, 2000.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 14, 2000 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, C.D. Seward, and P.P. Finn.
Nays – None.
