AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Sixty-five Thousand Dollars
($65,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement
Fund of Blackjack-Dellwood Creek to be used for project costs for the construction
of slope protection and appurtenances in Pannell Drive Channel Improvement
(MCBJ-270) (99112), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Seals Enterprises, Inc. for the construction of
the aforesaid slope protection and appurtenances.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said slope protection and
appurtenances is Fifty-seven Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-three and 30/100
Dollars ($57,423.30), and the allowance for construction change orders is Seven
Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-six and 70/100 Dollars ($7,536.70), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Sixty-five Thousand Dollars
($65,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Blackjack-Dellwood Creek to be used for

project costs for the construction of slope protection and appurtenances in Pannell
Drive Channel Improvement (MCBJ-270)(99112), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Seals Enterprises, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of slope protection and appurtenances in Pannell Drive Channel
Improvement (MCBJ-270)(99112), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 26th day of October, 2000.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 14, 2000 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, C.D. Seward, and P.P. Finn.
Nays – None.
Secretary-Treasurer
