AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00)
from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of combined sewers in DeGiverville and Hamilton Relief (99082), in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Tope, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid combined
sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said combined sewers is
Thirty-five Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-five Dollars ($35,475.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Four Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-
five Dollars ($4,525.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of combined sewers in DeGiverville and Hamilton Relief
(99082), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Tope, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of combined sewers in DeGiverville and Hamilton Relief (99082), in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 6th day of November, 2000.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 14, 2000 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, C.D. Seward, and P.P. Finn.
Nays – None.
