AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00)
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Vinita
Park to be used for Various Inlet and Sewer Repairs and Cleaning in Vinita Park
Subdistrict, in the City of Vinita Park, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. for the aforesaid
project.
WHEREAS, the bid for said project is Forty-one Thousand Six
Hundred Fifty Dollars ($41,650.00), and the allowance for construction change
orders is Eight Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($8,350.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Vinita Park to be used for Various Inlet and Sewer Repairs
and Cleaning in Vinita Park Subdistrict, in the City of Vinita Park, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for Various Inlet and Sewer Repairs and Cleaning in Vinita Park Subdistrict, in the
City of Vinita Park, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 6th day
of September, 2000.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 14, 2000 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, C.D. Seward, and P.P. Finn.
Nays – None.
