HomeMy Public PortalAbout10866 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10866 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eleven Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($11,100.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for the purchase and demolition of certain real property in the City of St. Louis, Missouri known and numbered as 5647 Highland Avenue, and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to purchase and demolish said real property for flood mitigation purposes. WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Eleven Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($11,100.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for the purchase and demolition of certain real property in the City of St. Louis, Missouri known and numbered as 5647 Highland Avenue. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to purchase and demolish certain real property in the City of St. Louis, Missouri known and numbered as 5647 Highland Avenue for flood mitigation purposes, for a total purchase price not to exceed One Thousand Sixty Dollars ($1,060.00). 2 Section Three. Upon the execution and delivery to the District of a Special Warranty Deed in proper form conveying title to the above-described real property to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized to pay to the grantors a total sum not to exceed One Thousand Sixty Dollars ($1,060.00) for said real property. Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 14, 2000 by the following vote – Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, C.D. Seward, and P.P. Finn. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
