HomeMy Public PortalAbout10884 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10884 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of combined sewers in Repair and Replace Sewer Systems in City Parks - Sewer Lining with CIPP Phase I (99123C), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Spiniello Companies for the aforesaid rehabilitation. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid rehabilitation of combined sewers is Two Million Two Hundred Seventy-seven Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($2,277,700.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Two Hundred Twenty-two Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($222,300.00), and WHEREAS, the United States Environmental Protection Agency has agreed to contribute One Million Three Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($1,375,000.00) toward the costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds, said money will be returned to the Sanitary Replacement Fund, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of combined sewers in Repair and Replace Sewer Systems in City Parks - Sewer Lining with CIPP Phase I (99123C), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Spiniello Companies as the lowest responsible bidder, for the rehabilitation of combined sewers in Repair and Replace Sewer Systems in City Parks - Sewer Lining with CIPP Phase I (99123C), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 7th day of December, 2000. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 11, 2001 by the following vote – Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, and J.W. Siscel. Nays – None.
