O R D I N A N C E NO. 10885
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Twenty-five Thousand
Dollars ($425,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for
the construction of sanitary sewers in Earth City Sewer Rehabilitation Phase I
(2000092), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies, USA, Inc. for the construction
of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is
Three Hundred Eighty Two Thousand Five Hundred Ninety-two Dollars
($382,592.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Forty-two
Thousand Four Hundred Eight Dollars ($42,408.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Twenty-five Thousand
Dollars ($425,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Earth City Sewer
Rehabilitation Phase I (2000092), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Insituform Technologies, USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Earth City Sewer Rehabilitation
Phase I (2000092); in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 8th day of December, 2000.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 11, 2001 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, C.D. Seward, P.P. Finn, and
J.W. Siscel.
