HomeMy Public PortalAbout10901 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10901 AN ORDINANCE, identifying and designating the initial Rate Commission Representative Organizations to serve on the Rate Commission of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. WHEREAS, at a General Election held on November 7, 2000, the voters of the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County approved four (4) Propositions to amend the Charter (Plan) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and WHEREAS, Section 7.040, as amended, of said Charter establishes the Rate Commission of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and WHEREAS, Section 7.220, as amended, of said Charter provides that said Rate Commission shall consist of one representative from each of fifteen (15) organizations within the District, and WHEREAS, Section 7.230, as amended of said Charter provides that the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District shall, by ordinance, identify the initial Rate Commission Representative Organizations and shall state the term of years during which each such initial Rate Commission Representative Organization shall serve, and WHEREAS, Section 7.240, as amended of said Charter provides that of the fifteen (15) representatives of the initial Rate Commission Representative Organizations, the term of five (5) representatives shall terminate at the end of two (2) years, the term of five (5) representatives shall terminate at the end of four (4) years, and the term of five (5) representatives shall terminate at the end of six (6) years, and WHEREAS, the terms for the initial Rate Commission Representative Organizations as herein identified and designated shall be from February 1, 2001 to January 31, 2003, February 1, 2001 to January 31, 2005, and February 1, 2001 to January 31, 2007, respectively. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The following organizations are hereby identified and designated as the initial Rate Commission Representative Organizations of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and shall serve for the terms as specified: TWO (2) YEARS: FEBRUARY 1, 2001 - JANUARY 31, 2003 Associated General Contractors (AGC) National Society of Black Engineers Regional Chamber & Growth Association Sierra Club Skinker DeBaliviere Community Council FOUR (4) YEARS: FEBRUARY 1, 2001 - JANUARY 31, 2005 Cooperating School Districts of St. Louis League of Women Voters of Saint Louis Washington University St. Louis Clergy Coalition Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis SIX (6) YEARS: FEBRUARY 1, 2001 - JANUARY 31, 2007 Building & Construction Trades Council FOCUS Missouri Industrial Energy Consumers Home Builders Association of Greater St. Louis St. Louis County Municipal League The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 18, 2001 by the following vote – Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, and P.P. Finn. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
