HomeMy Public PortalAbout10904 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10904 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($530,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Lemay North (L-10D) Sewer Separation Phase I (96056D), in the City of St. Louis, City of Lakeshire and unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the Lemay North Sewer Separation Phase I is Four Hundred Seventy-nine Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($479,500.00) and the cost of special insurance and allowance for change orders is Fifty Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($50,500.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($530,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Lemay North (L-10D) Sewer Separation Phase I (96056D), in the City of St. Louis, City of Lakeshire and unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the construction of the Lemay Service Area ORS Lemay North (L-10D) Sewer Separation Phase I (96056D), in the City of St. Louis, City of Lakeshire and unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 19th day of December, 2000. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 8, 2001 by the following vote – Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, P.P. Finn, and J.W. Siscel. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
