AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for
the construction of sanitary sewers in Tesson Ferry-Green Park to Jan Sanitary
Relief (99053) in the City of Green Park and unincorporated St. Louis County,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Southern Ditching & Excavating Company for the construction of the aforesaid
sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is
Four Hundred Fifty-One Thousand Five Hundred Ninety-Three and 50/100
Dollars ($451,593.50), and the allowance for construction change orders is Forty-
Eight Thousand Four Hundred Six and 50/100 Dollars ($48,406.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Tesson Ferry-
Green Park to Jan Sanitary Relief (99053), in the City of Green Park and
unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.

Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Tesson Ferry-Green
Park to Jan Sanitary Relief (99053), in the City of Green Park and unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 9th day of January, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 8, 2001 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, P.P. Finn, and J.W. Siscel.
Nays – None.
