HomeMy Public PortalAbout10911 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10911 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($275,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-02 Fernview and Olive Sanitary Relief (90009), in the City of Creve Coeur, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Two Hundred Forty-six Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-five and 40/100 Dollars ($246,795.40), and the allowance for construction change orders is Twenty-eight Thousand Two Hundred Four and 60/100 Dollars ($28,204.60), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($275,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-02 Fernview and Olive Sanitary Relief (90009), in the City of Creve Coeur, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-02 Fernview and Olive Sanitary Relief (90009), in the City of Creve Coeur, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of January, 2001. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 8, 2001 by the following vote – Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, P.P. Finn, J.W. Siscel, and C.D. Seward. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
