AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Seventy-five Thousand
Dollars ($375,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for
the construction of combined sewers in Clara and Kingsbury Relief Sewer (99080),
in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with J.W. Bommarito Constr. Co., Inc. for the construction of the
aforesaid combined sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said combined sewers is
Three Hundred Forty Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-four Dollars ($340,854.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders is Thirty-four Thousand One
Hundred Forty-six Dollars ($34,146.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Seventy-five Thousand
Dollars ($375,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of combined sewers in Clara and
Kingsbury Relief Sewer (99080), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with J.W. Bommarito Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of combined sewers in Clara and Kingsbury Relief
Sewer (99080), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 6th day of February,
2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 8, 2001 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, P.P. Finn, J.W. Siscel, and C.D.
Seward.
