HomeMy Public PortalAbout10929 O R D I N A N C E NO. 10929 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($650,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Nettlecreek-Brookwood Sanitary Relief (Brookwood Section) 99074 in the City of Town & Country, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Five Hundred Seventy-eight Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-seven and 70/100 Dollars ($578,427.70), and the allowance for construction change orders is Seventy-one Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-two and 30/100 Dollars ($71,572.30), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($650,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Nettlecreek- 2 Brookwood Sanitary Relief (Brookwood Section) 99074 in the City of Town & Country, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Nettlecreek-Brookwood Sanitary Relief (Brookwood Section) 99074, in the City of Town & Country, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 22nd day of February, 2001. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 12, 2001 by the following vote – Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, M.C. Williams, A.J. Soukenik, J.W. Siscel, and C.D. Seward. Nays – None.
