AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Forty-five Million Dollars
($45,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of the Lemay WWTP Wet Weather Expansion
(2003067), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Tarlton Corporation for the construction of
the aforesaid wastewater treatment plant.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said wastewater
treatment plant is Eighty-seven Million Two Hundred Seventy-five Thousand
Dollars ($87,275,000.00.00), and the appropriations in the succeeding two (2)
fiscal years will complete the total funding of said project, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Forty-five Million Dollars
($45,000,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund
to be used for project costs for the construction of the Lemay WWTP Wet
Weather Expansion (2003067), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Tarlton Corporation as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of the Lemay WWTP Wet Weather Expansion (2003067) in
St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 29th
day of June 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 11, 2007.
