HomeMy Public PortalAbout12548O R D I N A N C E NO. 12548 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($330,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Garden Lane Storm Sewer Phase II (2005074), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Three Hundred Seven Thousand One Hundred Twenty-three and 20/100 Dollars ($307,123.20), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-two Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy-six and 80/100 Dollars ($22,876.80), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($330,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Garden Lane Storm Sewer Phase II (2005074), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Garden Lane Storm Sewer Phase II (2005074), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 19th day of October, 2007. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 13, 2007.
