Thousand Dollars ($3,500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs for the construction of Marbendale - Lemp Sanitary Facilities
Consolidation (2001139), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
Kirkwood Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co.,
Ltd. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Three Million
Three Hundred Thirty-eight Thousand Six Hundred Nine Dollars ($3,338,609.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project costs is One
Hundred Sixty-one Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-one Dollars ($161,391.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN KIRKWOOD SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Three Hundred Thirty-eight
Thousand Six Hundred Nine Dollars ($3,338,609.00) is hereby appropriated from
the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of
Marbendale - Lemp Sanitary Facilities Consolidation (2001139), in the City of
Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan Kirkwood Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the construction of Marbendale - Lemp Sanitary Facilities Consolidation
(2001139), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened
on the 28th day of November 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 10, 2008.
