($19,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs
for the construction of Creve Coeur Creek (L-52) Pump Station Improvements
(2003062A) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with KCI Construction Company for the
construction of the aforesaid pump station improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said pump station
improvements is Seventeen Million Nine Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars
($17,930,000.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other
project costs is One Million Seventy Thousand Dollars ($1,070,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Nineteen Million Dollars ($19,000,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of pump station improvements in Creve Coeur Creek (L-
52) Pump Station Improvements (2003062A) in the City of Maryland Heights,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with KCI Construction Company as the lowest responsible bidder for
the construction of Creve Coeur Creek (L-52) Pump Station Improvements
(2003062A) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 25th day of November, 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 10, 2008.
