HomeMy Public PortalAbout12571O R D I N A N C E NO.12571 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Eighty-five Thousand Dollars ($385,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation and expansion of the existing facility in Bissell Point - Sewer Solid Waste Transfer Station (2006165) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is Three Hundred Forty-nine Thousand Twenty-seven Dollars ($349,427.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project Costs is Thirty-five Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-three Dollars ($35,573.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Eighty-five Thousand Dollars ($385,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation and expansion of the existing facility in Bissell Point - Sewer Solid Waste Transfer Station (2006165) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation and expansion of the existing facility in Bissell Point - Sewer Solid Waste Transfer Station (2006165) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 13th day of November, 2007. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 10, 2008.
