from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation)
(FY2008) (2007172) in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform
Technologies USA, Inc. for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is Six
Million One Hundred Sixty-seven Thousand Eight Hundred Seventeen and 20/100
Dollars ($6,167,817.20), and the allowance for construction change orders and other
project costs is Eight Hundred Thirty-two Thousand One Hundred Eighty-two and
80/100 Dollars ($832,182.80), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Million Dollars ($7,000,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs
(Rehabilitation) (FY2008) (2007172) in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs
(Rehabilitation) (FY2008) (2007172) in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 26th day of October, 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 10, 2008.
