HomeMy Public PortalAbout12575O R D I N A N C E NO. 12575 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($430,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CSO - Interceptor & Outfall Modifications Phase II (BP-012, BP-038) (2003053B6) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Three Hundred Ninety-two Thousand and Six Dollars ($392,006.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project costs is Thirty-seven Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-four Dollars ($37,994.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($430,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CSO - Interceptor & Outfall Modifications Phase II (BP-012, BP-038) (2003053B6) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in CSO - Interceptor & Outfall Modifications Phase II (BP-012, BP-038) (2003053B6) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 29th day of November, 2007. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 10, 2008.
