AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Thirty Thousand
Dollars ($230,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of the Lemay WWTP Secondary Chiller Piping
Replacement (2007154), in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gross
Mechanical Contractors, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid Lemay WWTP
Secondary Chiller Piping Replacement.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Two Hundred
Three Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($203,700.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-six Thousand
Three Hundred Dollars ($26,300.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars
($230,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to
be used for project costs for the construction of the Lemay WWTP Secondary
Chiller Piping Replacement (2007154), in unincorporated St. Louis County,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Gross Mechanical Contractors, Inc. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of the Lemay WWTP Secondary Chiller
Piping Replacement (2007154) in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 17th day of December 2007.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 10, 2008.
