ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI , VACATING AND
DISCONTINUING AN INGRESS I EGRESS EASEMENT AND A SANITARY SEWER, STORM
DRAINAGE AND DETENTION BASIN EASEMENT IN LAGE RIDGE SUBDIVISION .
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON , MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council of the City of Jefferson , Missouri , hereby declares it necessary ,
reasonable and proper to discontinue an ingress/egress easement in Lage Ridge Subdivision
and forever vacate the following described property in said City :
All of a 20 foot wide Ingress/Egress easement per Book 627 , page 542, Cole County
Recorder's Office, across part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 23, Township 44
North, Range 12 West, in the City of Jefferson, Cole County, Missouri.
Section 2. The Council of the City of Jefferson , Missouri , hereby declares it necessary ,
reasonable and proper to discontinue a sanitary sewer, storm drainage and detention basin
easement in Lage Ridge Subdivision and forever vacate the following described property in sa id
City:
Part of Reserved Tract A of Lage Ridge Subdivision Section One, Plat Book 12 , Page
744, Cole County Recorder's Office, part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 23 ,
Township 44 North , Range 12 West, in the City of Jefferson , Cole County , Missouri,
more particularly described as follows : From the northwest corner of the Northwest
Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 23; thence N84°03'23" E, along the
Section Line , 306.99 feet to the easterly Right-Of-Way line of Vieth Drive ; thence
S8°23'14"E, along the easterly Right-Of-Way line of V ieth Drive, 417.44 feet to the
southwesterly corner of a 16.94 Acre Tract described in Book 284, Page 295, Cole
County Recorder's Office , also being the northwesterly corner of a Tract described in
Book 621 , Page 201 , Cole County Recorder's Office; thence N84 °1 9'24"E along the
northerly line of said Tract described in Book 621 , Page 201, 1115.74 feet; thence
S3°15'28"W, 357 .29 feet; thence S34°03 '48"W , 43.32 feet; thence S78°43'18"E , 61 .84
feet; thence N86°32'20"E, 24.04 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING of this description ;
thence N86°32'20"E, 133.93 feet ; thence southerly on a curve to the left, having a radius
of 175.00 feet , an arc distance of 20 .04 feet (CH : S6 °44'32"E, 20.03 feet); thence
S86°32'20"W, 121.73 feet; thence N3r1 0'09" W , 24.04 feet to the Point of Beginning of
this description.
Section 3. The statutory right of reversion in the owners of the abutting property is
hereby confirmed , as is provided by the laws of the State of Missouri , and the Mayor and the
Clerk of the City are hereby authorized to execute all necessary instruments required to confirm
the reversionary rights of the owner of property abutting on the area vacated, as described in
Section 1 and Section 2 of this ordinance , in the property vacated.
Section 4 . This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its
passage.
