AN ORDINANCE, with an emergency clause, authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into an
intergovernmental agreement with the Missouri Department of Transportation Commission to
provide financial assistance for cost-sharing for sanitary sewer construction in Missouri
Highways and Transportation Commission Agreement (Manchester Avenue) in the City of
Brentwood, Missouri.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One . The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into an
intergovernmental agreement with the Missouri Department of Transportation Commission to
provide financial assistance for cost-sharing for sanitary sewer construction and easement in
Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission Agreement (Manchester Avenue) in the
City o f Brentwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The intergovernmental agreement authorized in Section One of this
ordinance shall be comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office
of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Three . Emergency Clause. This ordinance needs to be enacted without
delay to allow for MoDOT’s normal procurement process and bidding schedule, thus creating an
emergency within the meaning of the Charter. Accordingly, this ordinance shall take effect
immediate ly upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 16, 2020.
