AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of Two Million Dollars
($2,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction
in Dammert and Broadway Sanitary Relief (SKME-551) Part 2 (11155) in the City of St. Louis
and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to appropr iate
additional funds to Contract No. 21695 with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for sanitary sewer
construction.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 15013, adopted October 11, 2018, appropriated the
initial funding for a nd authorized Contract No. 21695; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above -named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction in
Dammert and Broadway Sanitary Relief (SKME-551) Part 2 (11155) in the City of St. Louis and
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to appropriate additional funds
to Contract No. 21695 with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for sanitary sewer construction in
Dammert and Broadway Sanitary Relief (SKME-551) Part 2 (11155) in the City of St. Louis and
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and said contract shall be comprised of such other
terms and conditions as are approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 16, 2020.
