SPECIAL MEETING
May 25, 2007
The Moab City Council held a Special Meeting on the above date at the
Grand Center, located at 182 North 500 West, Moab, Utah. Mayor
David Sakrison called the Special Meeting to order at 11:30 AM. In
attendance were Councilmembers Keith Brewer, Jeffrey Davis, Kyle
Bailey and Rob Sweeten. Also in attendance were City Manager Donna
Metzler, City Recorder/Assistant City Manager Rachel Ellison and City
Engineer Dan Stenta. In attendance from Grand County were
Councilmembers Jerry McNeely, Gene Ciarus, Pat Holyoak, Robert
Greenberg, Jim Lewis, Joette Langianese, Audrey Graham, County
Administrator Shawn Warnke, County Clerk Diana Carroll and Deputy
County Clerk Pat Byrd. Three members of the audience and media
were present.
Councilmember Bailey moved to approve a Request by Moab Arts
Festival for Use of Swanny City Park on May 26 and 27 to conduct
an Arts Festival. Councilmember Brewer seconded the motion. The
motion carried 4-0 aye.
Councilmember Bailey moved to approve a Special Events License
for the Moab Arts Festival to be conducted on May 26 and 27, 2007.
Councilmember Sweeten seconded the motion. The motion carried
4-0 aye.
City Councilmember Gregg Stucki arrived at 11:38.
City Manager Metzler made a presentation regarding Moab City's
Update on Storm Water Organization. Discussion followed.
City Manager Metzler made a presentation regarding an Interlocal
Agreement Between Moab City and Grand County for Joint Funded
Film Employee. Discussion followed.
Mayor Sakrison recessed the Special Meeting at 12:12 PM.
Mayor Sakrison reconvened the Special Meeting at 12:30 PM.
County Administrator Shawn Warnke made a presentation regarding
Proposed Amendments to UDOT Classification of Road in Grand
County. Discussion followed.
City Manager Metzler made a presentation regarding Interlocal
Agreements Associated with Class B & C Roads. Discussion
followed.
City Manager Metzler and County Administrator Warnke made a
presentation regarding Formalizing Joint Meeting's Record and
Decisions. Discussion followed.
Mayor Sakrison adjourned the Special Meeting at 1:30 PM.
