ORDINANCE NO. V3 3
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND
DISCONTINUING THE EASEMENT RIGHTS IN THE SOUTHERN TWELVE FEET OF
THE WOODLAWN AVENUE(STREET)RIGHT-OF-WAY BETWEEN MADISON STREET
AND MONROE STREET.
WHEREAS, it has been shown to the Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, that the
owners of land adjacent to and abutting upon Woodlawn Avenue (Street) in
the City, have petitioned the City Council to vacate a street right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconvenience the public or the
citizens of the City to discontinue a portion of the street right-of-way of
Woodlawn Avenue (Street) for public use as described in Section 'I of this
Ordinance; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereby declares it
necessary, reasonable and proper to discontinue as a street right-of-way a portion of
Woodlawn Avenue (Street) and forever vacate the following described right-of-way in said
City:
The southerly twelve(12)feet of the Woodlawn Avenue (Street) right-of-way;
being situate in Outlot No. 77 of the City of Jefferson, Missouri; being more
particularly described as follows:
From the southeasterly corner of Outlot No. 77; thence N40°54'E, along the
easterly line of said Outlot No. 77, 381.67 feet to the southerly right-of-way
line of Woodlawn Avenue (Street) and the POINT OF BEGINNING for this
r description;thence continuing N40054'E, along the northerly extension of the
easterly line of said Outlot No. 77, 12.0 feet; thence N4701 VW, 428.83 feet
to the easterly right-of-way line of Madison Street; thence S42021'W, along
the easterly right-of-way line of said Madison Street, 12.0 feet to the
southerly right-of-way line of said Woodlawn Avenue (Street); thence
S4701 1'E, along the southerly right-of-way line of said Woodlawn Avenue
(Street) 428.83 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Containing in all, 5,146
square feet, more or less.
Section 2. The statutory right of reversion in the owners of the abutting property is

the Clerk of the City are hereby authorized to executo all necessary inatfu mants regti�rect°
to confirm the reversionary rights of the owners of pr000rtyabutting on the aced vact ietf -
as described in Section t of this ordinance, in the alley right-of-way vacated.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its
passage. }
