AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Million Three Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($3,300,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for wastewater treatment plant
construction in Grand Glaize WWTF Floodwall Protection (13072) in the City of Valley Park,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21882 with KCI Construction
Company for the aforesaid wastewater treatment plant construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said wastewater treatment plant construction is Three
Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,100,000.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars
($3,300,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund for wastewater treatment
plant construction in Grand Glaize WWTF Floodwall Protection (13072) in the City of Valley
Park, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 21882 with KCI Construction Company, as the lowest responsible bidder for wastewater
treatment plant construction in Grand Glaize WWTF Floodwall Protection (13072) in the City of
Valley Park, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 7th day of February, 2020.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on April 9, 2020.
