Public Comment: No public comment received. Approve Minutes for June 8th, 2022, Meeting: No changes, unanimously approved. Eric's Report: Greens have been fertilized, will top dress next week. • Pushing ramp construction to November after course closure. Hoping to not have to rebid the project. • Paver patio - Northwest Hardscapes, plan to be here Monday. They claim it will be done within a week. • Cart Paths - Estimate to grind, level, and repave 1, 2, & 9 Aspen paths came in at about $100,000. Can be done at end of August first of September. Will need to go to bid. We may be able to use the city grinder and employees to complete the grinder as a money saving cost. • Landscape Unlimited -bids for completing tees came in at $660,000 spread out over three years. Can complete 9 holes in one month. Costs may increase due to fuel costs and transport. Contract is being developed and we hope they can start this Fall. • Culverts due to arrive this coming Tuesday. Crew will work on one at a time and begin replacing bridges. • 9 Aspen trenching will be redone with proper drainage and piping. Allan's Report: • Over $32,773 down in June from last year. Year to date down $48,294; considered due to poor October and poor June weather. • Staffing is a continual challenge, as college kids and highschoolers leave early. Monthly Topic: 5 Year Plan - laid out in the master plan. • 100-year anniversary of the golf course will be in 2028. Rita will contact the city grant writer Delta James to look into additional monies for the 100th year. Old Business: • Forgiveness of the old $85,000 loan discussion was opened at the last city budget meeting and will be officially addressed at the July 28th council meeting. • Course and Proshop management - a motion was proposed and carried; The city will take over management of the course and proshop. Decision based on assumptions from spreadsheet by Annette Spickard, that the city could profit $250,000. Plan to recruit and hire PGA pro by September. An announcement will go out next week. Interviews will happen in August, with an offer to be made in early September. The base salary will be $85,000/year with and additional benefits package of approximately $40,000. Allan brought up a point that when he was hired 20 years ago they hoped to pay him $75,000/year; a salary of $85,000 is not likely to a draw quality person. Review Project List: • Have construction plans for on -course bathroom. Hope to start this fall. • Seal coat cart paths - especially those that aren't going to be resurfaced. • Will have bridges that need replaced with culverts and completed by end of fall. New Business: "Sand and Seed" social by the men's and women's club was a huge success. Proposal to do it again after the amateur. Men's club alternate will be brought forward at the next meeting. Next Meeting: August 10th, 2022, 5:00 PM Topic: Eric's Budget and Proshop Budget. Adjournment: 6:05 PM
