AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE LOCAL ROAD AND BRIDGE MATCHING
GRANT FUND
WHEREAS, Senate Enrolled Act 67 (SEA 67) provided for a supplemental distribution of local option income
taxes to counties and cities:
WHEREAS. the City created LOIT Special Distribution Fund 257 as a depository for those funds;
WHEREAS, that income. as well as certain Rainy Day Funds and local road and street funds can be used as
match for INDOT Community Crossing_ Grants; and
WHEREAS. a fund must be created to account for matching_ funds used for the INDOT Community Crossing
Grants.
NOW THEREFORE be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle that there is hereby
created Fund 283 Local Road and Bridge Matching Grant Fund for the purpose of administering matching grant funds for
qualifying INDOT projects.
This Ordinance shall have full force and effect upon passage of the Greencastle Common Council and its
approval by the Mayor.
