Dale of
AUTHORIZING EMERGENCY SEWER REPAIR CONTRACT
WITH B&W CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret ("Borough") is in need of sewer repairs in
locations within the Borough; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Director of Engineering has certified that said work needed to be
done as an emergency condition threatening the public health, safety, and welfare of the
residents: and
REAS, the Borough Director of Engineering has recommended an award of a contract to
Construction Company to perform emergency repairs to these various locations within the
ah: and
HEREAS, B&W Construction Company presently has an existing contract with the Borough
perform emergency repairs to the Borough sewer system.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
I. The appropriate Borough Officials are authorized and directed to enter
into a contract for emergency repairs within the Borough, as
recommended by the Borough's Director of Engineering, in a total amount
not to exceed $100,000.00 in accordance with B&W Construction
Company's existing contract with the Borough.
2. That this award is made as an emergency contract.
3. That this award is contingent upon the ability of funds for said repairs.
4. That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Director of
Engineering, Purchasing Department and B&W Construction, Company.

original on April 26, 2026.
