HomeMy Public PortalAbout2004-069 (05-04-04)RESOLUTION NO. 2004.069 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE ROBERTI-Z'BERG-HARRIS GRANT PROGRAM UNDER THE SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS, CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AIR, AND COASTAL PROTECTION BOND ACT OF 2002 WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the California Clean Water, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhood Parks and Coastal Protection Act of 2002 which provides funds for the Roberti-Z'Berg-Harris Grant Program for grants to eligible Applicants; and WHEREAS, the California Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the grant program, setting up necessary procedures; and WHEREAS, said procedures established by the Department of Parks and Recreation require the City Council to certify by resolution the approval of the City to apply for the Roberti-Z'Berg-Harris allocation; and WHEREAS, the City will enter into a contract with the State of California for eligible project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood as follows: Section 1: That the City Council approves the filling for local assistance funds from the Rob~rti-Z'Berg-Harris Grant Program under the Safe Neighborhood Parks, Clean Water, Clean air, and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2002. .Section 2: That the City Council certifies the City of Lynwood has or will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the Project. _Section 3: That the City Council certifies that staff has reviewed, understands and agrees to the General Provisions contained in the Contract shown in the Procedural Guide. .Section 4: That the City Council certifies that the Project will conform to the recreational elements of ant applicable city or county general plan. Section 5: That the City Council appoints the City Manager or designee as agent to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to applications, agreements, payment requests and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of Projects. Section 6: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 4th day of May ,2004. ATTEST: ANDREA L.
