A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD REPEALING RESOLUTION
2002.155 AND ENDING THE DESIGNATION OF RAUL'S
TOWING SERVICE AS THE AUTHORIZED EXCLUSIVE
TOW SERVICE PROVIDER AND EXCLUSIVE PROVIDER
OF ABANDONED VEHICLE STORAGE SERVICES TO THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD
WHEREAS, on or about October 23, 2002, Resolution 2002.155 of the City
Council of the City of Lynwood was adopted, said Resolution designating Raul's Towing
Service, 11116 Wright Road, Lynwood, City License No. 004113 as the Authorized
Exclusive Tow Service Provider and Exclusive Provider of Abandoned Vehicle Storage
Services to the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, since adoption of Resolution 2002.155 the City of Lynwood has
reviewed the operations of the exclusive provider arrangement and based on said review,
the City desires to explore other alternatives to the existing arrangement; and
WHEREAS, in order to explore new arrangement for the towing of vehicles in the
City, the City Council of the City of Lynwood must end the designation of Raul's
Towing Service as the Authorized Exclusive Tow Service Provider and Exclusive
Provider of Abandoned Vehicle Storage Services to the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, ending said designation of Raul's Towing Service requires a repeal
of Resolution 2002.155;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Resolution 2002.155, which designated Raul's Towing Service as
the Authorized Exclusive Tow Service Provider and Exclusive Provider of Abandoned
Vehicle Storage Services to the City of Lynwood, be repealed in its entirety.
Section 2. That this Resolution is to be given effect immediately upon adoption.
