A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD REPEALING RESOLUTION 2002.166 AND
REVERSING THE SETTING OF PAYMENT TO THE CITY
AUTHORIZED TOW SERVICE PROVIDER
WHEREAS, on or about November 19, 2002, Resolution 2002.166 of the City
Council of the City of Lynwood was adopted, said Resolution setting the amount to be
paid to the designated City Authorized Exclusive Tow Service Provider; and
WHEREAS, since adoption of Resolution 2002.166 the City of Lynwood has
reviewed the operations of the exclusive provider arrangement and based on said review,
the City desires to explore other alternatives to the existing arrangement; and
WHEREAS, in order to explore new arrangements for the towing of vehicles in
the City, the City Council of the City of Lynwood must repeal all resolutions associated
with the exclusive tow provider program, including those setting the compensation to be
paid to such exclusive provider;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Resolution 2002.166, which set the payment to the City
Authorized Tow Provider, be repealed in its entirety.
Section 2. That this Resolution is to be given effect immediately upon adoption.
