A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING A
CONTRACT TO J. A. SALAZAR CONSTRUCTION AND SUPPLY INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF
$539,762.50 FOR THE LYNWOOD RD. WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT
NUMBER 05-5300, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT".
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Rd. Water Main Improvement Project, Project No. 05-5300 is scheduled
for completion during the FY 2003-2004; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Rd. Water Main Improvement Project is funded by Water Funds; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on April 29, 2004 and J. A. Salazar Construction and
Supply Inc. was the apparent lowest bidder at $539,762.50; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the necessary experience for
this type of project.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby f'md, proclaim, order
and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the contract for the Lynwood Rd. Water Main Improvement Project,
Project Number 05-5300, be awarded to J. A. Salazar Construction and Supply Inc., for its low bid of
$539,762.50.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement between the City
of Lynwood and J. A. Salazar Construction and Supply Inc.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
