WHEREAS, As pa~ of the California Sea~ Bel~ Compliance Campaign, the
State of California Office of Tra~c Safe~ (OTS) has awarded the Ci~ of
Lynwood a Seat Belt Enforcement Hini Grant in the amount of $42,948; and
WHEREAS, The overall goal of the program is to increase ~ra~c safe~
and public awareness leading to increased seat belt use throughout the state;
and
WHEREAS, The grant will allow the Sheriff's Depa~ment to targeted
seat belt enforcement operations during the months of November 2003, Hay
2004, August 2004 and September 2004.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CZTY COUNCZL OF THE CZTY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FZND, PROCLAZM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
~ The City Manager or her designee is authorized to carry out
any necessary transactions as so ordered by this resolution.
~ That the City Council authorize the appropriation of $42,948
into Revenue Account # 0:[-30555 and Expenditure Account # 0:[-4555-4248.
