A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A PUBLIC
HEARING DATE OF JULY 20, 2004 TO HEAR PUBLIC
COMMENTS ON THE PROPOSED INCREASE IN PARKING
FINES AND BAIL AMOUNTS
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has set forth various fines and bail
amounts as penalties for parking violations listed within the Lynwood Municipal
Code and California Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has local authority to set the amounts
from time to time for said parking citation fines and bail amounts; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood recognizes the need for establishing and
maintaining compliance of the existing parking codes, both state and municipal;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that a public hearing is required
to hear public comments/testimony regarding the proposed increase in parking
fines and bail amounts; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to schedule the place and time to
conduct a public hearing regarding the proposed increase in parking fines.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Lynwood City Council as
follows:
Section 1. That the City Council approves authorizes staff to publish
notice relative to proposed increase in parking citation fines and bail amounts.
Section 2. That the City Council authorized staff to schedule the public
hearing for Tuesday, July 20, 2004.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 30th day of June 2004.
