A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE SOLITATION
OF SERVICES FROM THE YOUNG PEOPLE OF
LYNWOOD THROUGH A PURCHASE ORDER
CONTRACT AGREEMENT FISCAL YEAR 2004-2005.
WHEREAS, the Young People of Lynwood has been providing
maintenance service to the City of Lynwood for the last 23 years; and
WHEREAS, said service is to supplement the City's maintenance
operation of public alleys, streets, trees, etc; and '~
WHEREAS, the cost of said service amounts to approximately $35,000
per year; and
WHEREAS, staff has found that this organization has provided good and
consistently dependable service at an effective cost; and
WHEREAS, said service has been paid through a purchase order contract,
which exceeds the $5,000 limit set by Section 6-3.12 of the Lynwood Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Lynwood as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council approves the use of The Young People of
Lynwood services in the amount not to exceed $35,000 for Fiscal Year 2004-2005 through a
purchase order contract.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
