A RESOLUTTON OF THE CTTY COUNCTL OF THE CXTY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVTNG AN AMENDMENT TO THE
LYNWOOD GENERAL PLAN LAND USE MAP DESTGNATI~ON,
PURSUANT TO GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 2004-01,
FROM XNDUSTRXAL TO COMMERCXAL XN CON3UNCTI~ON
WZTH THE DEVELOPMENT AND OPERATXON OF A
RESTAURANT AND NXGHTCLUB, PERTATNXNG TO
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 10700 ALAMEDA STREET,
FURTHER DESCRZBED AS ASSESSOR PARCEL NUMBER
6170-002-026, C1~TY OF LYNWOOD, COUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES, CALI~FORNI~A.
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council, pursuant to law, on August 17, 2004
conducted a public hearing to consider General Plan Amendment No. 2004-01; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Lynwood, on July 13, 2004,
pursuant to law, conducted a public hearing on the subject application and did not
approve the General Plan Amendment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council carefully considered all public oral and written
testimony offered at the public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the City Council determined that a Commercial Land Use Map
designation of the subject property would be consistent with the goals and policies of
the General Plan Land Use and Economic Development Elements; and
WHEREAS, the Development Services Department has performed and Initial
Study and determined that the proposal may have potentially significant impacts on the
environment, however, mitigation measures have been incorporated in the project that
would reduce potential significant impacts to a level of insignificance. A Negative
Declaration has been prepared pursuant to the California Environmental Qualify ACt
(CEQA) Guidelines.
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and
determines as follows:

A Commercial Land Use Map designation of the subject property would be
compatible with surrounding land uses.
The subject property would comply with all required development standards set
forth in the Lynwood Municipal Code, except distance for alcohol.

The General Plan Amendment would be consistent with the goals and policies of
the General Plan Land Use and Economic Development Elements.
Do
The General Plan Amendment will not be detrimental to the properties
surrounding the site, or the public health, safety and general welfare as
mitigation measures and conditions have been incorporated into the project to
reduce potential impacts to a level of insignificance.

Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood, based upon the
aforementioned finding and determination, hereby approves General Plan Amendment
No. 2004-01 amending the General Plan Land Use map designation for 10700 Alameda
Street from ]ndustrial to Commercial.
Section 3. A copy of this resolution shall be delivered to the applicant.
