A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS
DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY FUNDS
APPROPRIATION AND TRANSFER FOR THE PAYMENT OF
THE FY 2004-05 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE TO THE
INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY OF
THE LOS ANGELES AREA REGIONAL AGENCY (LARA)
WHEREAS, On September 17, 2002, the City of Lynwood joined Los Angeles
Area Agency (LARA) in order to improve the City's solid waste diversion required by the
California Integrated Waste Management Board; and
WHEREAS, in January of 2004, California Integrated Waste Management Board
officially accepted LARA; and
WHEREAS, LARA presently consist of (14) fourteen cities within the Los
Angeles Region; and
WHEREAS, LARA requires members to pay an annual membership fee; and
WHEREAS, the annual membership fee for the City of Lynwood is $8,777.55
for Fiscal Year 2004-2005.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council approve the payment of the City of Lynwood's
annual membership fee of $8,777.55 to the Los Angeles Area Integrated Waste Management
Authority of the Los Angeles Area Regional Agency (LARA) for Fiscal Year 2004-2005.
Section 2. That the City Manager or her designee is authorized to make the
following fund appropriation and transfer:

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption
