AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Seven Million Dollars
($7,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for combined sewer construction
in Mississippi Floodwall ORS Pump Stations Rehabilitation Phase II (12484) in the City of St.
Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21908 with KCI Construction
Company for combined sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said combined sewer construction is Nine Million Four
Hundred Ninety -Five Thousand Dollars ($9 ,495,000.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Five Hundred Five Thousand Dollars ($505,000.00);
WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation request is planned for Fiscal Year 2021
(FY2021) for a total appropriation amount of Ten Million Dollars ($10,000,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Million Dollars ($7,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for combined sewer construction in Mississippi
Floodwall ORS Pump Stations Rehabilitation Phase II (12484) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri;
and said contract shall be comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved by the
Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two . The Executive Directo r and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21908
with KCI Construction Company, as the lowest responsible proposer for combined sewer
construction in Mississippi Floodwall ORS Pump Stations Rehabilitation Phase II (12484) in the
City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 11th day of March, 20 20.
Section Three . This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its en actment.
