AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars
($180,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund of
Gravois Creek and One Million One Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($1,120,000.00) from
the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for private I/I removal in Alpine Drive Separate
Sewer I/I Removal (11776) in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into Contract No. 20359 with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid
private I/I removal.
WHEREAS, the bid for private I/I removal is One Million Two Hundred Forty
Thousand Dollars ($1,240,000.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other
project expenses is Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($180,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, Construction, and Improvement Fund
of Gravois Creek and One Million One Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($1,120,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for private I/I removal in Alpine Drive
Separate Sewer I/I Removal (11776) in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20359 with Bates Utility Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for private I/I
removal in Alpine Drive Separate Sewer I/I Removal (11776) in Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 13th day of November 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
