AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Six Million Dollars
($6,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction
in DC-02 & DC-03 Sanitary Relief (Brentwood Blvd to Conway Rd) Phase 1 (10021) in the City
of Brentwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter Contract No. 20368 with J.H. Berra
Construction Co., Inc. for sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Twenty Million Eight
Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,820,000.00) and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Nine Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($930,000.00);
WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation request is planned for Fiscal Year 2017
(FY2017) for Fifteen Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($15,750,000.00)
providing a total appropriation amount of Twenty-One Million Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($21,750,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Million Dollars ($6,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction in DC-02 &
DC-03 Sanitary Relief (Brentwood Blvd to Conway Rd) Phase 1 (10021) in the City of
Brentwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No.
20368 with J.H. Berra Construction Co., Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
construction in DC-02 & DC-03 Sanitary Relief (Brentwood Blvd to Conway Rd) Phase 1
(10021) in the City of Brentwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 10th day of
December, 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on February 11, 2016.
