AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Four Million Dollars
($4,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction
in Caulks Creek Trunk Sewer (SKME-011) Phase 1 (11720) in the City of Wildwood, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter Contract No. 20377 with Gershenson Construction Company
for sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Eight Million Nine
Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand Seven Hundred Five and 5/100 Dollars ($8,985,705.05) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Six Hundred Fourteen
Thousand Two Hundred Ninety-Four and 95/100 Dollars ($614,294.95);
WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation request is planned for Fiscal Year 2017
(FY2017) for Five Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,600,000.00), providing a total
appropriation amount of Nine Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($9,600,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million Dollars ($4,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction in Caulks
Creek Trunk Sewer (SKME-011) Phase 1 (11720) in the City of Wildwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No.
20377 with Gershenson Construction Company as the lowest responsible bidder sanitary sewer
construction in Caulks Creek Trunk Sewer (SKME-011) Phase 1 (11720) in the City of
Wildwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 17th day of December, 2015.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
