AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nineteen Million Dollars ($19,000,000.00)
from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary storage tank construction in
Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section B, C, & D Wet Weather Storage Facility Tank C Phase II
(11726) in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20381 with Plocher Construction Company, Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary storage tank
construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary storage tank construction is Eighteen
Million One Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($18,175,000.00) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Eight Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand
Dollars ($825,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Nineteen Million Dollars ($19,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary storage tank construction in
Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section B, C, & D Wet Weather Storage Facility Tank C Phase II
(11726) in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract
No. 20381 with Plocher Construction Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for
sanitary storage tank construction in Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section B, C, & D Wet Weather
Storage Facility Tank C Phase II (11726) in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received on the 10th day of February 2016.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
